A proper garden clean up is the fastest way to bring your yard back under control—especially if things have crept up over time, you’ve had a busy season, or you’re preparing for guests, inspections, or a property sale.
We help busy Newcastle households get back to a garden they feel proud of—clean lines, clear paths, healthier plants, and a space your family can actually enjoy.
Every garden is different, so we tailor the clean up to what will make the biggest visual and functional impact first.
Typical garden clean up tasks include:
Hand weeding garden beds (and problem areas)
Pruning and cutbacks (seasonally appropriate)
Removing dead or dying plants (where requested)
Leaf litter and debris removal
Hedge trimming / shaping (if needed)
Decluttering outdoor areas (pots, corners, side access)
Green waste collection and removal
What you’ll notice afterwards:
A garden that looks “reset” and maintained again
Cleaner sightlines and more open space
Beds that look intentional (not chaotic)
A calmer, more inviting outdoor area
Garden clean ups in Newcastle NSW are usually priced based on the time, access, overgrowth, and green waste volume.
Your quote is influenced by:
Size of the garden + density of plants
Weed level / ground cover spread
Hedge height, length and access
Access (tight side paths, stairs, slopes)
Green waste volume (and removal requirements)
Prices typically range from $500 for smaller gardens to over $2,000 for larger and more complex gardens.
A quote for a garden clean up requires an onsite inspection for a fair price.
Many clients start with a one-off clean up, then move to a simple maintenance schedule so the garden stays looking premium year-round.
Option 1: One-Off Garden Clean Up
Best for: overgrowth, seasonal reset, rental inspections, moving in/out, or “we need this sorted.”
Focused, high impact clean up
Waste removed
Clear plan for what to do next
Option 2: Clean Up + Maintenance Plan
Best for: busy families who want it handled.
Initial clean up to reset everything
Ongoing visits to keep it consistently tidy
Your garden stays “guest ready” without the stress

A word of mouth referred client engaged us to help clean up their garden. Over spring and summer their garden had grown so much they were unable to stay on top of it.
They had:
A dying Flowering Plum in the middle of the garden
Five Camellias growing 2 feet over the fence line
Dead plant in the front yard
Salvias overgrown through the raised garden bed
Standard Roses and bird bath leaning over
Magnolia blocking view of their Crepe Myrtle
We removed the dead plant from the front yard - roots and all, leaving the area as if it was never there.
Restaked the Standard Roses straight, and reinforced the bird bath foundation so it was level.
Hard pruned the Magnolia at the clients request (they love the Crepe Myrtle flowering more than the Magnolia).
Unfortunately the tree had begun rotting from the inside out as we diagnosed prior to commencing removal.
We carefully pruned off branches and limbs, cutting the roots, removing the trunk and stump, then digging and pulling out the remaining roots.
With the stump and roots removed we were able to add additional organic soil and plant out six pot plants into the fresh soil. Rearranging the garden bed for beauty.
We also fixed the clients irrigation line they had accidentally cut a few days before. We take pride in our work and service.
Some "gardeners" use hedge trimmers and butcher flowering plants.
By using secateurs a quality finish can be acheived, following each stem back to a flower bud and cutting just above it, allowing it to bloom in the coming weeks.
This is a photo before showing how many flower buds where yet to bloom.
The spring growth was over 2 feet, and also into the walkway.
Hand pruned Camellias to fence height and out of the walkway.
Pruned with care and attention to detail.
Leaving five healthy and tidy plants with plenty of blooms for the coming weeks.
Actions speak louder than words -
they referred two close friends, and
entrusted us with accessing their property while they were away
The client was completely surprised we were able to remove the entire tree without damaging the other plants. They also commented on how reliable we were (turning up on time and doing what we said).
Meerkat Fairy was also pleased with the refreshed garden ☺️
You’ll get clear communication, reliable scheduling, and a fair approach. We aim to be the opposite of the operators who don’t show up, rush, or take advantage.
We aim to care more about your garden than you do. That care extends to how we treat your property and the relationship we build with you.
We don’t do sloppy, rushed work. We focus on the details that make your garden feel premium: definition, order, and a clean finish.
We’re focused on Newcastle NSW and nearby surrounds — servicing from Wangi Wangi up to Minmi, across to Nobby’s Beach, down to Caves Beach, and everything in between.
If you’re nearby and not sure, ask—we’ll let you know quickly.
How long does a garden clean up take?
Most clean ups take between a few hours to a full day depending on size, access, and overgrowth.
Do you remove green waste?
Yes—green waste removal can be included so you’re not left with piles to deal with.
Can you do a clean up before an inspection or event?
Yes. If you have a deadline, mention it early so we can schedule appropriately.
Will a clean up damage my plants?
We prune and cut back with care and seasonality in mind. If you have favourite plants or “do not touch” areas, we’ll confirm those first.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance after the clean up?
Yes—many clients start with a reset, then choose a maintenance schedule to keep everything looking sharp.
